Our Operation Enduring Support program shifts to a focus on Operation Christmas from 11/1/23 through 1/1/24.

During this time, we do not take OES applications to be able to focus on families in crisis over the holidays.

Our application for ACTIVE DUTY and GOLD STAR families will be open on this website on November 15th for one day only. 

Operation Enduring Support (OES)-- Crisis Assistance

We understand that life can be messy and crisis can hit when you are least prepared or in the midst of deployment. OES is our crisis response program for active duty families in emergency situations. 
Operation Enduring Support (OES) is our program created to assist active duty families in crisis. Our primary focus is to provide DIRECT assistance in the form of GOODS, COMMUNITY HELP, GIFT CARDS (gas, groceries, clothing), AND IN SOME CASES FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE paid directly to utilities, airlines, companies whenever possible or directly into memorial or college funds of survivors of disasters. 
In addition to donations at ready to assist families in crisis, we often help in other ways:
  • Diapers, wipes
  • Clothing
  • School supplies
  • Household goods
  • Childcare in emergency situations
  • Maintenance
  • Airfare for funerals, hospital visits
  • Referrals and assistance to find programs that may help, ​
  • .Grocery assistance
  • Gas assistance
  • Gently used furniture and appliances in emergency situations
  • Connections with non-military affiliated spiritual counselors

How do I qualify? 
  • You must be part of an active duty or post 911 Gold Star military family at the time of your application. We may make exception for those in the process of being medically retired. 
  • You must fill out an OES application for assistance (see link below). In the case of extreme emergencies, this may be filled out by chaplains, command reps, FROs, URCs, DRCs, Ombudsman to ensure speedy support. 
  • You must provide a current LES statement. Why? Because this is the best way for us to determine base pay which we often use to for financial help, current military status, etc. Only our Executive Director and President have access to your LES statement and it is only used for this purpose.
  • You must provide a working military (.mil) email address for verification for both your active duty family member and a unit representative (can be chaplain, FRO, ombudsman, section head, etc.)
  • If a spouse filling out this form, you must provide a signature verifying you are filling out this form with the knowledge of your sponsor. 
  • The form should clearly indicate your emergency situation to help us best serve your needs. 

What does OHH consider (and NOT consider) an emergency?  
As a "Mom and Pop" non-profit organization, we do NOT have the funds to assist with:
  • Debt
  • Overspending or mismanagement of pay
  • Paying bills you've fallen behind on
  • Assistance to try to save money
  • Car payments
Instead, we focus ALL of our OES funds to help families in situations out of their control:
  • Illness, hospitalization, sick children
  • Accidents
  • Inability to care for children or provide a safe environment without help
  • Natural disasters (fire, flood, etc.)
  • Emergency situations during deployment
  • Funerals, terminally ill family members to care for -- we can provide airfare/assistance to travel
  • Assistance in extreme cases when utilities will be shut off or eviction is pending and children are in the household. 
  • PTSD: We have the ability to help with counseling, referrals, childcare, gas assistance to go to counseling, and connect you with other service members who understand what you're going through.
